The second trimester is well under way. Thank you to all of the families who attended Parent Teacher Conferences. If you were not able to attend please reach out to your child’s teacher. It is important that teachers and parents work together so students can reach their fullest potential. Our trimester awards assembly will be on November 13th.
October was a busy month here at Villalovoz! October is an Anti-Bullying month where our focus is zero tolerance for bullying. Students were able to participate in our annual TUSD Anti-Bullying poster contest. We would like to congratulate the students who had their posters selected for the Red Carpet Event.
We also focused on our annual Spelling Bee where 4th and 5th graders were able to participate. Congratulations to our top three winners; Lovelyn Tolentino, Gavin Biehl, and Natalia Reszka.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our PFC and all of the volunteers for our Emoji Fun Run! Thank you for making it such a success. The students enjoyed the event!
One of our biggest focuses here at Villialovoz is Science. In October our on-site science field trips began. Each grade level will have the World of Wonders Science Van (WOW). WOW will bring science experiments right to their classrooms multiple times this year.
We are noticing quite a few families dropping off and picking up students in the staff parking lot. Please use the car line to drop off and pick up your child or park in the designated areas and walk your child onto campus for their safety.
I would like to thank our School Site Council parents for giving us their time and support.
As always, should you have a need or concern, our door is always open.
