 Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Students,
I would like to welcome you back to another great school year.  School starts Monday August 7th.  Our Back to School Night will be Wednesday August 16th.   We would like to welcome our freshman to Tracy High.  I hope you look forward to four wonderful years.  I absolutely encourage all students to get involved: join a club, sport, band, drama production, and participate in the many activities we will have this year.
Go Bulldogs!

Suicide Prevention

California enacted AB2246 in September of 2016, which is known as the Pupil Suicide Prevention Law.  This legislation mandates that all school districts in California teach suicide prevention awareness instruction to students in grades 7 through 12, inclusively.  TUSD will comply with this law beginning in the fall of the 2017-2018 school year, by teaching suicide prevention awareness to 8th and 10th graders who attend Tracy schools.  Instruction is one hour, and will teach students to recognize the signs of suicidal risk in themselves and others, as well as to identify ways to get help.  Suicide Prevention awareness instruction will be provided during 8th and 10th grade Social Studies classes during the week of September 12-15th, 2017.  If you wish to opt your student out of this instruction, please submit a written letter to your child’s school administration office stating your child’s name and that you want to opt him/her out of suicide prevention awareness instruction.  TUSD will be offering parent informational meetings on suicide prevention awareness on August 29th, 2017 from 6-7pm at Monte Vista Middle School and on August 30th, 2017 from 6-7 pm at Tracy High School.  The informational meetings will orient parents to content students will be taught during suicide prevention awareness week, as well as will provide parents training on the signs of suicide risk and how to seek help.
