The Common Core State Standards were presented and adopted by many states in the US in 2010. California adopted the Common Core Standards and refer to these standards as simply the CA State Standards. Tracy Unified School District has spent the past several years planning for and implementing the new State Standards. In addition, a new state testing system protocol (CAASPP - CA Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) was designed for the new standards. The CAASPP is made up of the SBAC (online testing for Language Arts and Math) and a Science test (an online test was piloted in 2016-17 with full implementation to follow).
