A Message from the Principal

Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year!  This is the first year we graduate students who have attended Kimball for 4 years; The Class of 2013! There will be no other first-four graduating class!

Our curricular program continues to strengthen and our students are demonstrating academic excellence. This year, the tradition continues and Jaguar PRIDE is evident in our academic and extra-curricular programs. We continue to embrace the ideas embodied in Jaguar PRIDE: Passion, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence. The expectation of excellence in academic  performance and behavior for all members of our Kimball community continues to guide our every step.

The curricular program at Kimball is centered on three pathways designed to support students in their areas of interest. Each pathway supports students in achieiving our mission of They have been accepted to major universities, recieved scholarships for their academic excellence and their athletic performances. We have clubs that support students in career related areas of interest such as HOSA- Future Health Professionals, Future Teachers of America, Future Business Leaders of America and this year for the first time our MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Acheivement) Club.  The music and drama programs have earned honors in their competitions and the athletic program continues to build and strengthen as do other programs in our school.

Our students passed the High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) with  pass rates exceeding 89% in both English and Math, our students excelled in the STAR exams of 2012 earning our high school an API of 801 and a ranking of 8 among all high schools in California (the highest ranking is 10). Kimball High School has much to celebrate and it is the work of our staff, students and community that supports the pursuit of excellence in academics.

We look forward to another outstanding year devoted to the success of all students.
