New signs have been posted in our staff parking lot. The staff parking lot is ONLY for staff and requires a permit to park in this area. Any vehicle parked in this area without a permit will be cited or towed by city officials. To ensure safety, our parking lot is monitored by the Tracy Police Department.

Parents please DO NOT use the parking lot as a drop off or pick up area! It is not safe for the children.

Attendance is IMPORTANT!
Teachers cannot teach students who are not in school. There is strong evidence that shows regular attendance can result in significant improvements in test scores.

Each month, our school goal is 98% attendance.

Common Core State Standards
The Common Core is changing the way we teach our students, and changing the types of work our students are doing.  To find out more about the Common Core, visit the TUSD Common Core Information Page.

Another great common core website is www.commoncoreworks.org. This site has great resources for parents.

CALIFORNIA ASSESSMENT OF STUDENT PERFORMANCE AND PROGRESS (CAASPP)
The results of the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments in English language arts/literacy and mathematics, part of the state’s California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), are scheduled to be released later this month (September 2015).  Students in grades 3-8 and grade 11 across the state took this test last spring.  It was the first statewide administration of this new test.   For more information about the assessments and the score reports that will be mailed home for all students who took the test, CLICK HERE

Closed Campus
All visitors must sign in at the office and wear a visitor's sticker.  We are a closed campus for the safety of all our students.

 ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE:

I am thrilled to be a part of the George Kelly community! I have enjoyed getting to know the students, staff, and parents each day! Teachers and staff have the students’ best interests at heart…as I notice that relationships are strong and trusting between many! The standards and expectations for students to achieve success in their academics and character traits are easily noticeable. Thank you for a great first year and making me feel like an integral part of this team.  Please feel free to come by or drop me an email at mpetty@tusd.net…my door is always open!
      Ms. Mary Petty
