UC Scholarship & Programs  Most of the gift aid awarded by UC, the federal government, and the state of California is awarded on the basis of need. Need is determined by the information you provide when you apply for aid, including your expected costs while attending college and your family’s financial resources.  A much smaller portion of gift aid is awarded based on merit – like having a special talent or excelling academically in high school

01.29.21  Deadline.  Lincoln Center Scholarship   4@ $2,000, Graduating senior, college bound, GPA of 3.0 or higher, must be a San Joaquin County resident. 

01.31.21  Deadline.   Equality Scholarship Collaborative   Award amount $6,000.  Scholarships available to graduating students for their services to the lesbian/Gay/bisexual/transgender community.  Must be planning to attend a two yr., or a 4 yr. college/university, vocational or technical school in the Fall of 2021.  Applicant must provide evidence of involvement in volunteer activities promoting understanding of and equality for the LGBT community with a recommendation from a teacher, staff member, counselor, or advisor familiar with such involvement.

01.31.21 Deadline.  Future Contractors Scholarship  Award amount $750.  Graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry.  Applicants must apply online.  Essay required.  

02.12.21  Deadline.  Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS)  Award amount $500.  Graduating senior with a GPA of 2.5 or above, plan to enroll in a college, university, business, vocational or grade school in the fall of 2021.  Copy of official transcript, personal essay of 500 words describing applicant’s life, accomplishments and plans for the future.  Include any special circumstances or barriers we should know about, three letters of recommendation and a recent photo of applicant.

02.15.21  Deadline.  The Christermon Foundation Award amount $3,000 to $6,000. Senior planning to attend a 4-year college/university in the U.S.  Open to California students whose parents and/or grandparents or legal guardian are proprietors of, or employed by an individual or corporation holding a California liquor, beer or wine license.  This includes restaurants, hotels, retail & wholesale grocery establishments, airlines, breweries, wineries, distributors, etc.  Must list specific extra-curricular activities.  Additional pre-requisites are detailed on the website.

02.19.21  Deadline.  Tracy Area Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. –Award amount not specified.  There will be 2 scholarships awards this year.  Applications available on your school’s website.  Open to graduating seniors of African American descent.  Must be planning to attend an accredited two or four-year College or University.  Copy of an official transcript, two letters of recommendation, essay on your educational and professional goals and how you plan to achieve them. 02.19.21  Deadline.  Richard T. Lent Memorial Scholarship.  Download Application.  Award amount 2 @ $1,000.  Graduating Tracy High School senior, college bound, GPA of 3.0 or better, planning to major in engineering or computer science.  Write a one page essay on “Why do you believe you should receive recognition for achievement in Computer Science or Engineering?” One letter of recommendation from a faculty member, copy of unofficial transcript.

02.19.21  Deadline.  Susan M. Lent Memorial Scholarship.  Download Application.  Award amount 2 @ $1,000, graduating Tracy High School senior, college bound, GPA of 3.0 or better, must be planning to pursue a teaching vocation.  Autobiographical essay including reasons for choosing a teaching profession, citizenship qualities, one letter of recommendation from a faculty member, copy of unofficial transcript.

03.05.21  Deadline.  California Wine Grape Growers  Award amount 3 @ $8,000 attending a 4 yr. college and 3 @ $2,000 attending a 2 yr. community college.  Senior planning to attend a 2 Jr. Junior College or a 4 yr. University in the fall of 2021.  Parent must be employed by a wine grape grower.  Copy of official transcript, letter of recommendation and personal essay must accompany completed application.

03.12.21  Deadline.  The Nijagal Family Scholarship.  Application  can be DOWNLOADED HERE.  4 awards up to $750.  Must be a graduating THS senior who plans to attend a CSU or UC or attending a two year community college in the fall of 2021.  Undergraduate degree programs eligible for scholarships include Medical Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Law or Performing Arts.  In addition, students pursuing the Associated Degree Programs are also eligible for scholarship.  Must have taken advanced courses all four years in high school.  GPA of 3.5 or above and excellent attendance.  Submit a 200word essay explaining your goals and how you value education in your career plan.  What are your plans in motivating others to take up education beyond high school?    Two (2) letters of recommendation from your teacher(s), a letter of recommendation confirming community service, copy of unofficial transcript.

03.31.21 Deadline.  Tracy Historical Museum/West Side Pioneer Association. Application available on your school’s website.  Award amount  3 @ $500, graduating seniors planning to attend a 2 year or a 4 year college with a demonstrated interest in local Tracy History.  Essay on Tracy History.

04.01.21 Deadline. Debra “Sam” Haack Memorial Scholarship flyer and application (also at  Sam passed away in 2017 and this endowed scholarship was created to recognize her, and her passion for the people and work associated with highway maintenance and operations.  The $2,000 scholarship is directed towards high school seniors planning to enter a community college or trade school that relate to Caltrans Maintenance and Operations (for example; Diesel Equipment Technician, Electrical Technology, Heavy Equipment Operator, Welding Technology, Landscaping, etc.).

04.09.21  Deadline.  Carol Phan Memorial Scholarship   Award amount $1,200Must be a Tracy High Senior that has been enrolled in the IB or Ag Science Programs and has been accepted or plans to attend a 4 yr. University.  GPA of 3.50 or higher.  Show your creativity in your submission. 

04.10.21  Deadline.  Tracy Woman’s Club.  Award amount $500.  Request copy of application by email from Mrs. Harrington at  Graduating senior planning to pursue a fine arts degree (i.e. art, music, theatre, dance, poetry). 

04.15.21  Deadline.  AVID Senior Scholarship.  Award amount 4 @ $200 each.  Copy of application available HERE.   Must have been in the Tracy High School AVID for at least 3 years (including senior year), plan to attend a UC/CSU or JC in the fall, completed community service and in good standing within the AVID program and embody the spirit of AVID. 

04.23.21 Deadline. TSMA Tracy School Management Association, $500. Must be graduating senior from Tracy High, West High, Kimball High Stein High or Duncan Russell. Based on combination of academic achievement, school and community involvement and student essay. DOWNLOAD APPLICATION HERE. Submit per instructions attached to application.

04.23.21 Deadline. Roger Traina Memorial Scholarship.  Application can be DOWNLOADED HERE.  Award amount $1,000, graduating Tracy High School senior. Based on academic achievement, varsity sport participation, school and community involvement and student essay.  GPA of at least a 3.2.

05.31.21  Deadline.  PB & J Scholarship  Award amount $500-$1,000.  Open to high school seniors attending an accredited 2-year or 4-year college in the U.S.  Copy of transcript and 1 letter of recommendation required (2 preferred).  For students who have experienced  personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically (high GPA is not needed to qualify!)
