UC Scholarship & Programs  https://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/tuition-financial-aid/types-of-aid/grants-and-scholarships.html  Most of the gift aid awarded by UC, the federal government, and the state of California is awarded on the basis of need. Need is determined by the information you provide when you apply for aid, including your expected costs while attending college and your family’s financial resources.  A much smaller portion of gift aid is awarded based on merit – like having a special talent or excelling academically in high school

11.30.20  Deadline.  UC Davis Undergraduate Scholarships  https://financialaid.ucdavis.edu/scholarships/campus   Award amount $100-$14,000.  Graduating senior planning to attend UC Davis in the Fall of 2021.  GPA of 3.25.  Undergraduate scholarships are awarded on merit basis.  Scholarship criteria may include participation in extracurricular activities, career interests.

11.30.20  Deadline.  Driver Education Initiative Scholarship    www.dmvEdu.org/scholarship/  Award amount $500.   Must be currently attending high school.  The essay contest

“In The Driver’s Seat” seeks to have applicants highlight the importance of being a safe and educated river.  Submit an essay of less than 500 words to the following questions:

 1) what is the importance of driver education in reducing the number deaths as a result of driving? 2) what steps can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving?

3) have you ever had an experience of being in car accident or have seen your friends or family members driving irresponsibly?  4) what steps can you take to be a better and safer driver as well as help others become safer on the road?  Along with your submission, please include a picture of yourself, which we can post on our site to go along with your essay.

12.02.20 Deadline.  National Space Club Scholarship  www.spaceclub.org/scholarship/index.htmlAward amount $10,000.  Graduating senior, U.S. citizen, pursuing a career in the STEM fields, attend an accredited U.S. college or university in the fall of 2021. 

12.04.20  Deadline. Gladys Z. Ashjian Memorial Scholarship  $1,000.  Application can be DOWNLOADED HERE.  Open to Tracy High graduating seniors, college bound, GPA of 2.8 or better, planning a teaching vocation, essay explaining reason for choosing a teaching profession, one letter of recommendation from a faculty member and copy of unofficial transcript. 

12.06.20  Deadline.  Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards https://hhfawards.hispanicheritage.org/2020/forms/welcome.php  Receive a one-time grant to fund your college education or to fund a community service effort that tackles a social issue.  Graduating senior of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, and Philippines), College bound, GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.    

12.11.20  Deadline.   Icardi Memorial Scholarship.  Application can be DOWNLOADED HERE.  Award amount $500, graduating Tracy High School senior, college bound, must demonstrate leadership qualities.  This would include participation in community, religious or service organizations. Actively participated in athletics, employed or worked on a part-time basis during high school or summer vacation.  Cumulative GPA of at least a 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.

12.15.20  Deadline.  Burger King Scholars Program  www.bk-scholars.com.  Award amount $1,000-$50,000.  Graduating senior, GPA of 2.5 or higher.  Be active in your community through, volunteering, sports, clubs and/or religious organizations.   Plan to enroll full-time for the entire 2021-22 academic year at an accredited 2 yr. or 4 yr. college, university, or vocational-technical
school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico.

12.15.20  Deadline   North American Van Lines 2020 Logistics Scholarship  https://www.northamerican.com/scholarship   Award amount $1,000.  Graduating senior enrolling full time at an
accredited college/university in the U.S., plan to earn a BA in Logistics or equivalent field.  Essay detailing why a Career in logistics or related field is your college major choice.  Visit website

12.31.20   Deadline.  Illustrators of the Future Scholarship  https://www.writersofthefuture.com/enter-the-illustrator-contest/  Open to all new or amateur artists who have not been professionally
published and paid for more than three black-and-white story illustrations, or more than one process-color painting or have your work broadly featured to the general public through the media.

12.31.20  Deadline.  Navy ROTC Scholarship http://www.nrotc.navy.mil   Several scholarship opportunities. Graduating high school senior, must be a U.S or naturalized citizen.  Major in a degree of your choice regardless of officer specialty, guaranteed job, earn a salary immediately after college.  Must provide SAT/ACT scores, copy of transcript.  See your local Navy recruiter for more information.

01.05.21 Deadline. GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program  www.reaganfoundation.org/education   $10,000 (renewable)  High school seniors who demonstrate exceptional leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship are encouraged to apply.  Demonstrate a strong academic record (GPA of 3.0 or above), be a U.S. citizen, plan to attend a 4 yr. college/university.

01.8.21  Deadline.    Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Program  https://footlockerscholarathletes.com/about.  Award amount $20,000.   Honors student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and strong leadership skills in sports, in school, and within the community.  Graduating senior, college bound to a 4-year college/university.  Be 
currently involved in sports, tell us how you are a leader on and off the field.  GPA of 3.0 or better, US citizen.  

01.29.21  Deadline.  Lincoln Center Scholarship  www.lincolncentershops.com/scholarship-program/   4@ $2,000, Graduating senior, college bound, GPA of 3.0 or higher, must be a San Joaquin County resident. 

01.31.21  Deadline.   Equality Scholarship Collaborative  www.equalityscholarship.org.   Award amount $6,000.  Scholarships available to graduating students for their services to the lesbian/Gay/bisexual/transgender community.  Must be planning to attend a two yr., or a 4 yr. college/university, vocational or technical school in the Fall of 2021.  Applicant must provide evidence of involvement in volunteer activities promoting understanding of and equality for the LGBT community with a recommendation from a teacher, staff member, counselor, or advisor familiar with such involvement.

01.31.21 Deadline.  Future Contractors Scholarship https://www.ccisbonds.com/scholarship/.  Award amount $750.  Graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry.  Applicants must apply online.  Essay required.  

02.12.21  Deadline.  Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS) http://fanhsstockton.com/  Award amount $500.  Graduating senior with a GPA of 2.5 or above, plan to enroll in a college, university, business, vocational or grade school in the fall of 2021.  Copy of official transcript, personal essay of 500 words describing applicant’s life, accomplishments and plans for the future.  Include any special circumstances or barriers we should know about, three letters of recommendation and a recent photo of applicant.

02.15.21  Deadline.  The Christermon Foundation  www.christermon.com. Award amount $3,000 to $6,000. Senior planning to attend a 4-year college/university in the U.S.  Open to California students whose parents and/or grandparents or legal guardian are proprietors of, or employed by an individual or corporation holding a California liquor, beer or wine license.  This includes restaurants, hotels, retail & wholesale grocery establishments, airlines, breweries, wineries, distributors, etc.  Must list specific extra-curricular activities.  Additional pre-requisites are detailed on the website.

02.19.21  Deadline.  Richard T. Lent Memorial Scholarship.  Download Application.  Award amount 2 @ $1,000.  Graduating Tracy High School senior, college bound, GPA of 3.0 or better, planning to major in engineering or computer science.  Write a one page essay on “Why do you believe you should receive recognition for achievement in Computer Science or Engineering?” One letter of recommendation from a faculty member, copy of unofficial transcript.

02.19.21  Deadline.  Susan M. Lent Memorial Scholarship.  Download Application.  Award amount 2 @ $1,000, graduating Tracy High School senior, college bound, GPA of 3.0 or better, must be planning to pursue a teaching vocation.  Autobiographical essay including reasons for choosing a teaching profession, citizenship qualities, one letter of recommendation from a faculty member, copy of unofficial transcript.

03.05.21  Deadline.  California Wine Grape Growers   www.cawgfoundation.org  Award amount 3 @ $8,000 attending a 4 yr. college and 3 @ $2,000 attending a 2 yr. community college.  Senior planning to attend a 2 Jr. Junior College or a 4 yr. University in the fall of 2021.  Parent must be employed by a wine grape grower.  Copy of official transcript, letter of recommendation and personal essay must accompany completed application.

03.12.21  Deadline.  The Nijagal Family Scholarship.  Application  can be DOWNLOADED HERE.  4 awards up to $750.  Must be a graduating THS senior who plans to attend a CSU or UC or attending a two year community college in the fall of 2021.  Undergraduate degree programs eligible for scholarships include Medical Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Law or Performing Arts.  In addition, students pursuing the Associated Degree Programs are also eligible for scholarship.  Must have taken advanced courses all four years in high school.  GPA of 3.5 or above and excellent attendance.  Submit a 200word essay explaining your goals and how you value education in your career plan.  What are your plans in motivating others to take up education beyond high school?    Two (2) letters of recommendation from your teacher(s), a letter of recommendation confirming community service, copy of unofficial transcript.

04.09.21  Deadline.  Carol Phan Memorial Scholarship   https://forcarol.com/carol-phan--college-scholarship/   Award amount $1,200Must be a Tracy High Senior that has been enrolled in the IB or Ag Science Programs and has been accepted or plans to attend a 4 yr. University.  GPA of 3.50 or higher.  Show your creativity in your submission. 

04.23.21 Deadline. TSMA Tracy School Management Association, $500. Must be graduating senior from Tracy High, West High, Kimball High Stein High or Duncan Russell. Based on combination of academic achievement, school and community involvement and student essay. DOWNLOAD APPLICATION HERE. Submit per instructions attached to application.

04.23.21 Deadline. Roger Traina Memorial Scholarship.  Application can be DOWNLOADED HERE.  Award amount $1,000, graduating Tracy High School senior. Based on academic achievement, varsity sport participation, school and community involvement and student essay.  GPA of at least a 3.2.
