11.30.19 Deadline.  SIXT Scholarship Program www.sixt.com/sixt-scholars Five $5,000 Awards, Must be a graduating senior with a 3.7 GPA.  Student must have plans to enroll in a full-time 2 to 4 year college or university

11.30.19  Deadline.  Driver Education Initiative Scholarship  www.dmvEdu.org/scholarship/  $500.   Must be currently attending high school.  The essay contest “In The Driver’s Seat” seeks to have applicants highlight the importance of being a safe and educated river.  Submit an essay of less than 500 words to the following questions:  1) what is the importance of driver education in reducing the number deaths as a result of driving? 2) what steps can be taken to reduce the number of deaths related to driving? 3) have you ever had an experience of being in car accident or have seen your friends or family members driving irresponsibly?  4) what steps can you take to be a better and safer driver as well as help others become safer on the road?  Along with your submission, please include a picture of yourself, which we can post on our site to go along with your essay.

12.02.19 Deadline.  National Space Club Scholarship  www.spaceclub.org/scholarship/index.html  $10,000.  Graduating senior, U.S. citizen, pursuing a career in the STEM fields, attend an accredited U.S. college or university in the fall of 2020. 

12.06.19 Deadline.  Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholarship Program   www.comcastleadersandachieversscholarship.com  $2,500.  Graduating senior, must demonstrate commitment to community service, outstanding qualities in character, integrity and leadership.  Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two or four year college or university in the United States for 2020-21 academic year.  GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and demonstrate financial need.  

12.10.19 Deadline. Gladys Z. Ashjian Memorial Scholarship $1,000 request copy from Ms. Arce. Open to Tracy High graduating seniors, college bound, GPA of 2.8 or better, planning a teaching vocation, essay explaining reason for choosing a teaching profession, one letter of recommendation from a faculty member and copy of unofficial transcript. 

12.15.19  Deadline.   Final Fantasy Fan Scholarship  www.finalfantasyxvapp.com/scholarship
$1,000.  Graduating high school student, college bound.  Must submit a brief essay explaining your relationship with Final Fantasy games and how it has made you a better student. In 5 paragraphs or less, share whatever you think will help us understand your appreciation for Final Fantasy games and how it has made you a better student or person overall.  Include any lessons you have learned in any specific games, and the impact that they have had on your life.  It’s simple, it’s open-ended, and what we are looking for is your raw passion for gaming and beings the best student, leader, and person you can be.  

12.15.19 Deadline. Burger King Scholars Program $1,000 - $50,000 available. Over 3,000 students awarded last year. https://bkmclamorefoundation.org/who-we-are/programs/burger-king-scholars-program/. Application period is 10-15-19 to 12-15-19. Minimum GPA of 2.5, passionate about community service, and be a graduating high school senior planning to attend a 2 or 4 year accredited university, college or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico. West high had winners last year-encourage you to apply!

12.15.19 Deadline.  AXA Achievement Scholarship www.axa-achievement.com $2,500-$25,000 Senior planning to enroll full-time at a two yr. or four yr. college or university in the US by fall of 2020.  Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities. 

12.15.19  Deadline.   North American Van Lines 2019 Logistics Scholarship https://www.northamerican.com/scholarship   $1,000  Graduating senior enrolling full time at an accredited college/university in the U.S., plan to earn a BA in Logistics or equivalent field.  Essay detailing why a Career in logistics or related field is your college major choice.

12.31.19 Deadline.  Navy ROTC Scholarship http://www.nrotc.navy.mil   Several scholarship opportunities. Graduating high school senior, must be a U.S or naturalized citizen.  Major in a degree of your choice regardless of officer specialty, guaranteed job, earn a salary immediately after college.  Must provide SAT/ACT scores, copy of transcript.  See your local Navy recruiter for 
more information.

01.03.20  Deadline.   Foot Locker Scholar Athletes Program  https://footlockerscholarathletes.com/about 
 $20,000.   Honors student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional academic ability and strong leadership skills in sports, in school, and within the community.  Graduating senior, college bound to a 4-year college/university.  Be currently involved in sports, tell us how you are a leader on and off the field.  GPA of 3.0 or better, US citizen.  

01.03.20  Deadline.  GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program  www.reaganfoundation.org/education   $10,000 (renewable)  High school seniors who demonstrate exceptional leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship are encouraged to apply.  Demonstrate a strong academic record (GPA of 3.0 or above).  Plan to attend a 4 yr. college/university.

01.09.20 Deadline.  UC Davis Undergraduate Scholarships  http://financialaid.ucdavis.edu/scholarships/campus/index.html  $100-$13,000.  Graduating senior planning to attend UC Davis in the Fall of 2020. Undergraduate scholarships are awarded on merit basis.  Scholarship criteria may include participation in extracurricular activities, career interests.

01.10.20  Deadline.  Lincoln Center Scholarship  www.lincolncentershops.com/scholarship-program/   3 @ $1,000, graduating senior, college bound, GPA of 3.0 or higher, must be a San Joaquin County resident. 

01.10.20 Deadline.  Alert-1 Medical Alert Scholarship  www.alert-1.com/scholarship  $500, Graduating high school student attending an accredited U.S. college or university in 2020.  Provide answers to 3 essay questions (each under 300 words).

01.11.20 Deadline.  San Joaquin Engineers Council  www.sjec-ca.org amount of award not available at this time.  Senior pursuing an engineering degree (i.e. Civic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering and Agriculture Engineering).  SAT or ACT scores required.  Must be US citizen, GPA of 3.0 or above, copy of official transcript, teachers evaluations, interview.   

01.12.20 Deadline. ACM/CSTA 2020 Cutler-Bell Prize in High School Computing. $10,000 prize, up to four winners selected. https://www.cvent.com/c/abstracts/e90beaf8-9035-4e10-862e-55a8a056f080. Must be a high school senior residing and attending school in the U.S. Prize is designed to recognize talented high school students intending to continue their higher education in computer science or technology. Challenges for the award will focus on developing an artifact that engages modern computing technology and computer science. Apply online.

01.17.20  Deadline.   John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest www.jfklibrary.org  $100-$10,000  Open to high school students grades 9-12.  Describe and analyze an act of political courage by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1917, the year John F. Kennedy was born.   Include an analysis of the obstacles, risks, and consequences associated with the act. The essay may concern an issue at the local, state, national, or international level. See website for detailed eligibility & requirements.          

01.31.20 Deadline.  Future Contractors Scholarship https://www.ccisbonds.com/scholarship/  Graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing a career in the construction industry.  Applicants must applyonline.  Essay required.

02.10.20  Deadline.  2020 CIF Scholar-Athlete of the Year  www.cifstate.org $1,000-$5,000  College-bound high school seniors whose academic and athletic careers have been truly exemplary and whose personal standards and accomplishments are a positive model for others.  Must possess no less than an unweighted GPA of 3.50, have demonstrated athletic ability in at least two years of varsity play within California.  Letters of recommendation, copy of recent transcript, student essay.  

02.15.20  Deadline.  The Christermon Foundation  www.christermon.com  $3,000 to $6,000, senior planning to attend a 4-year college/university in the U.S.  Open to California students whose parents and/or grandparents or legal guardian are proprietors of, or employed by an individual or corporation holding a California liquor, beer or wine license.  This includes restaurants, hotels, retail & wholesale grocery establishments, airlines, breweries, wineries, distributors, etc.  Must list specific extra-curricular activities.  Additional pre-requisites are detailed on the website.

02.17.20  Deadline.   Youth on Course  www.youthcourse.org/scholarships $4,000 - $20,000  Graduating senior, GPA of 3.0 or above, planning to attend a 4 yr. College/University in the Fall of 2020.  Copy of transcript, SAT/ACT scores, letter of reference.  

02.20.20  Deadline.  National Co-Op Merit Scholarship Program  www.waceinc.org  up to $6,000 renewable.  College cooperative education is a unique academic program combining classroom studies with professional work experience in a field related to your education and career goals.  Graduating Senior, GPA of 3.5 or better, planning to attend at one of the institutions listed on application. 03.01.20  Deadline. American Chemical Society Scholarship Program  www.acs.org/scholarship
$5,000.  Graduating senior of African-American/Black, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian (see website for more details).  Intend to major in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, chemical technology, or another chemistry-related science.  Demonstrate high academic achievement in chemistry or science, GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent U.S. resident. 

03.01.20 Deadline.  DevTeam Space STEM Scholarship  www.devteam.space/scholarship  $1,000, open to student’s 9th-12th grade.  Write a 500+ essay on the following topic:  “How STEM career will affect the world over the next 50 years?”

03.02.20  Deadline.  CSU Stanislaus State University Scholarships www.csustan.edu/financialaid/scholarships   Amount of awards varies.  All prospective students who have applied for admission at Stanislaus State for the Fall of 2020 and Spring of 2021 should apply.  The online application allows students to apply for multiple on-campus scholarships using one application.

03.06.20 Deadline.  California Wine Grape Growers   www.Cawgfoundation.org   3 @ $8,000 attending a 4 yr. college and 3 @ $2,000 attending a 2 yr. community College.  Senior planning to attend a 2 Jr. Junior College or a 4 yr. University.  Parent must be employed by a wine grape grower.  Copy of transcript, SAT or ACT score requested.  Letter of recommendation and personal essay must accompany completed application.

03.08.20 Deadline.  California Wine Grape Growers www.cawggf.org  Two $8,000 Awards and Four $2,000 Awards, Must be a child of a California vineyard employee.

03.31.20 Deadline.  Tracy Historical Museum/West Side Pioneer Association – Applications available in your school’s Career Center, 3 @ $500, graduating seniors planning to attend a 2 year or a 4 year college with a demonstrated interest in local Tracy History.  Essay on Tracy History.

04.01.20 Deadline. Give Every Child A Chance-Service Challenge Scholarship $250-1,000. http://www.gecac.net/images/2018_Scholarship_Application_-_B_W_Logo_-Rev..pdf. Open to graduating seniors that have volunteered for Give Every Child A Chance (active within the past 4 years of high school). Volunteer service does not have to be served within the tutoring component of the program. Must have contributed at least 100 hours (non-school) of community service within the past four years of high school. NOTE: Not all hours need to be served at Give Every Child A Chance. Letters of proof from other organizations you served are required. West High has had winners-encouraged to apply! Apply online.

04.10.20 Deadline.  Carol Phan Memorial Scholarship  https://forcarol.com/carol-phan--college-scholarship/  $1,000.  Must be a Tracy High Senior that has been enrolled in the IB or Ag Science Programs and has been accepted or plans to attend a 4 yr. University.  GPA of 3.50 or higher.  Essay required.

04.30.20  Deadline.  “Review It” Scholarship   www.chiureviewsscholarship.com $1,000.  Graduating senior, planning to attend a college or university no later than September of 2020.  Achieved a 2.5 or greater during last academic year.  Submit a review of your favorite movie.  

05.31.20  Deadline.  LM Scholarship  https://studentscholarships.org/grants.php $500.  Graduating senior, college bound, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and a US resident.  Essay topic:  Write an essay about a situation you have been involved in or someone you know has been involved in when better safety procedures would have prevented an injury.  Explain in detail what safety procedures you believe should have been in place to prevent the injury andhow they would have prevented the injury.

06.19.20 Deadline.  Big Sun Scholarship  www.bigsunathletics.com  $500. Graduating senior, college bound, currently involved in some sport in high school or in the community.
