Alianza Latina Valle Central is having a Scholarship Expo at Nirvanna Banquet & Event Center, 1005 E. Pescadero Ave., in Tracy, on Sunday September 29th from 11am-2pm.  Our objective is to provide information to our local Spanish speaking youth and their families on scholarships available to them to further their educational goals after completing high school. We are conscious that many of our graduating youth are unaware of the financial help that many local organizations provide to ease the financial burden of a higher education.  Event is free!  Hope to see you there.  

09.26.19 Deadline. Quest Bridge National College Match.  Full four-year scholarships. We are seeking applications from high-achieving low-income high school seniors.  Demonstrate high academic achievement; come from a household income of less than $65,000 for a typical family of four, with limited assets.  Essays and short answers, high school transcript, 2 letters of recommendation from high school teachers. 

9.30.19 Deadline.  Money Metals Exchange Scholarship $500-$2,000.  Graduating senior, copy of transcript, essay on one question located on the website. 

9.30.2019 Deadline.  Golden Door Scholarship  All scholarship awards will begin as of Fall 2020. Strong preference will be given to applicants who plan to concentrate their studies in career-ready degrees.  Scholarship recipients will receive funding for a four-year degree at Golden Door partner schools beginning Fall semester, 2020. Students who have applied to or are interested in other colleges should also apply. We will support students at non-partner schools on a case-by-case basis.

10.5.2019 Deadline.  Create Real Impact Scholarship  13 @ $1,500.  Open to students in 9-12 grades. The Create Real Impact Contest gives you the opportunity to 
share creative solutions for preventing reckless and distracted driving while winning prizes for your efforts.

10.06.19 Deadline. AES Engineers. $500-Award based on character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted.   Write an essay on “When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful?”  What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey? Must be a senior to apply.  Engineering courses not required to be eligible.

10.11.19 Deadline.Young Arts up to $10,000-Young Art identifies and nurtures emerging artists in the visual, literary and performing arts.  By providing once-in-a-lifetime opportunities significant access to scholarships and national recognition.  Young Arts ensures the nations’ most outstanding high school students are encouraged – at critical junctures in their lives to pursue careers in the arts.  Open to grades 10-12. 

10.15.2019 Deadline.  “Make the U” (Haz La U) Scholarship Program  $2,000-$15,000.  Graduating Hispanic seniors are encouraged to apply.  Must be a US citizen
or a legal permanent resident with a social security number at time of application.  GPA of 3.0 or above, plan to enroll full-time at a two yr. or 4 yr. college or university in the 2020-21 academic
year.  Must apply for FAFSA, short essay on topic listed on website.

10.15.19 Deadline.  Hispanic Heritage Youth Awards Receive a one-time grant to fund your college education or to fund a community service effort that tackles a social issue. Graduating senior of Hispanic heritage (includes Spain, Brazil, and Philippines), College bound, GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 

10.17.19 Deadline.  Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway $1,000 Tell us how you’ll change the world in 350 characters or less.  Must be 18 yrs. old before 12/6/19.  See website for full program details.

10.17.19 Deadline. College JumpStart  $1,000 Open to high school students grades 10th-12th.  To be considered for this award, you must be committed to going to school and be able to express your goals for getting a higher education. 

10.21.19 Deadline.  Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen’s Award (DAR) $200-$500 College bound Senior.  Describe your qualities of good citizenship.  Two letters of recommendation, copy of your transcript.  Request copy from your school’s Career Center.  

10.25.19 Deadline. Horatio Alger Association Scholarship up to $25,000.  Graduating senior, GPA of 2.0 or better, exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the US.  Demonstrate critical financial need, involved in co-curricular and community service activities, display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity.  Be a US citizen. 

10.31.19 Deadline. Coca-Cola Scholarship- $20,000 This is an achievement-based scholarship for graduating high school senior.  College bound, demonstrate community service, minimum GPA 3.0, U.S. citizen.

11.04.19 Deadline. Good Tidings Foundation Community Service Award. 10 @ $10,000-This scholarship is an excellent opportunity for low-income high school seniors who have committed themselves to community service. 

11.5.19 Deadline.  Elks MVS Scholarship  $4,000-$50,000. Senior planning to attend a 4 yr. Education Program.  Needed:  SAT or ACT scores, demonstrate leadership qualities and community service, describe college plans, copy of transcript.   

12.2.2019 Deadline.  National Space Club Scholarship  $10,000.  Graduating senior, U.S. citizen, pursuing a career in the STEM fields, attend an accredited U.S. college or university in the fall of 2020.  

12.10.19 Deadline. Gladys Z. Ashjian Memorial Scholarship $1,000 request copy from Ms. Arce. Open to Tracy High graduating seniors, college bound, GPA of 2.8 or better, planning a teaching vocation, essay explaining reason for choosing a teaching profession, one letter of recommendation from a faculty member and copy of unofficial transcript. 

12.15.19 Deadline.  AXA Achievement Scholarship $2,500-$25,000 Senior planning to enroll full-time at a two yr. or four yr. college or university in the US by fall of 2020.  Demonstrate ambition and self-drive as evidenced by outstanding achievement in school, community or work-related activities. 

12.31.19 Deadline.  Navy ROTC Scholarship   Several scholarship opportunities. Graduating high school senior, must be a U.S or naturalized citizen.  Major in a degree of your choice regardless of officer specialty, guaranteed job, earn a salary immediately after college.  Must provide SAT/ACT scores, copy of transcript.  See your local Navy recruiter for 
more information.

1.11.2020 Deadline.  San Joaquin Engineers Council amount of award not available at this time.  Senior pursuing an engineering degree (i.e. Civic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Bio-Medical Engineering and Agriculture Engineering).  SAT or ACT scores required.  Must be US citizen, GPA of 3.0 or above, copy of official transcript, teachers evaluations, interview.   

3.31.2020 Deadline.  Tracy Historical Museum/West Side Pioneer Association – Applications available in your school’s Career Center, 3 @ $500, graduating seniors planning to attend a 2 year or a 4 year college with a demonstrated interest in local Tracy History.  Essay on Tracy History.

4.10.2020 Deadline.  Carol Phan Memorial Scholarship  $1,000.  Must be a Tracy High Senior that has been enrolled in the IB or Ag Science Programs and has been accepted or plans to attend a 4 yr. University.  GPA of 3.50 or higher.  Essay required.

6.19.2020 Deadline.  Big Sun Scholarship  $500. Graduating senior, college bound, currently involved in some sport in high school or in the community.
