About the Academy
The Space & Engineering Academy (SEA) is a small learning community within Merrill F. West High School that prepares students for future careers in engineering, medicine, science, and technology through a challenging four-year program that develops the critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills needed for success in college and beyond. Through specialized science and engineering coursework, advanced STEM classes, leadership opportunities, community service, job shadowing, and senior service projects, students explore career pathways while building the knowledge and experience needed to become engineers, physicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and technology innovators.
