  1. Students must complete the college course before the high school course it replaces.
    • Example: A sophomore enrolls in a college course aligned with junior year English. After the student passes the college course, the junior year English requirement is met and an open period appears in the junior year schedule.
  2. This rule prevents confusion about when high school credit applies.
  3. Contact your student's high school counselor or the District Dual Enrollment Counselor before submitting a CES form for any course listed above.

FOR FAMILIES

Supporting Your Student's Success

As a parent, you help your student stay focused when you acknowledge the
workload of a college course and encourage good study habits. You give
your student confidence when you remind them, they are capable of
managing college expectations with your support. You strengthen their
progress when you reinforce the importance of balancing
school, activities, and rest.
