TUSD is now offering no-cost COVID-19 testing for students and families. Our team of nurses is testing at the following locations Monday through Friday:

*Tracy Independent Study Charter School (TISCS) parking lot
  1904 N. Corral Hollow Rd (8am–6pm).

*Tracy High School parking lot
  315 E. 11th Street (9am-6pm)

*Kimball High School parking lots
  3200 Jaguar Run (9am–6pm)

COVID CASES

TUSD Students and Families,

In an effort to provide up-to-date information regarding NON EXPOSURES to COVID-19 cases at our TUSD school sites, TUSD will communicate the following information to students and families starting on August 19, 2021. Although the non-exposure notification letters are no longer required by California Department of Public Health(CDPH), TUSD will communicate the following information:

  • An email notification will be sent to all students and parent/guardians of which a COVID-19 positive case has been confirmed at your child’s school and your child is non-exposed.

*Please be assured that in the event of COVID-19 direct exposures, TUSD is taking all measures to notify parent/guardians and following CDPH guidelines.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT AB 130

Because TISCS is our Independent study education offering honoring the AB 130 law in TUSD, we will adhere to the following instructional requirements by grade level:

Kindergarten to grade 3: Daily synchronous instruction for all students throughout the school year.

Grades 4 to 8: Both daily live interaction and at least weekly synchronous  instruction for all students throughout the school year.

Grades 9 to 12: At least weekly synchronous instruction for all students throughout the school year.

In accordance with AB 130, “Live interaction” means interaction between the student and local educational agency classified or certificated staff, and may include peers, provided for the purpose of maintaining school connectedness, including but not limited to: wellness checks, progress monitoring, provision of services and instruction. This interaction may take place in person or in the form of internet or telephonic communication.

In accordance with AB 130, “Synchronous instruction” means classroom-style instruction or designated small group or one-on-one instruction delivered in person, or in the form of internet or telephonic communications and involving live, two-way communication between the teacher and student. Synchronous instruction shall be provided by the teacher of record for that student.
