 Welcome Mentors!

 The TUSD Induction program assigns qualified mentors and provides guidance and clear expectations for the mentoring experience based on the program’s design. Qualifications for mentors must include but are not limited to:
  • Knowledge of the context and the content area of the candidate’s teaching assignment
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and collaboration.
  • Possession of a Clear Teaching Credential.
  • Ability, willingness, and flexibility to meet candidate needs for support.
  • Minimum of three years of effective teaching experience in TUSD.

***If you are unable to attend a meeting or training, you must contact the TUSD Induction office in advance for approval to complete a makeup assignment.

Interested in Becoming an Induc
tion Program Mentor?
 
A Mentor is a caring, supportive veteran teacher willing to assist a Candidate in the Induction Program with 1:1 weekly support. 
 
Mentors have 3 or more years of teaching experience in Tracy Unified and demonstrate a commitment to personal professional growth and learning.
 
 

Mentors Receive

  • training and support in building their coaching stances 
  • training and support in supporting a Candidate through the inquiry process
  • on-going professional learning opportunities
  •  an honorarium of $1,500
