Welcome to the Superintendent's Office Brian Stephens Pic.bmp

Dear Parents and Community Members,
A new school year is rapidly approaching and there is excitement in the air!  Our Maintenance and Operations Department have been busy all summer getting our schools ready for the first day of school.  West High School has been painted and classrooms upgraded and modernized.  Hirsch Elementary has also been painted and looks great.  Solar panels have been installed at West High, Williams Middle School, the district office and in the transportation yard.  Soon solar panels will be installed at Kimball High School.  Two temporary classrooms have been brought to Bohn Elementary to replace the two classrooms lost in a fire in June.  New blacktop has been laid at McKinley Elementary in the playground.  New air conditioning units have been installed at many of our schools.  TUSD has made the quality of our facilities a priority this summer.
Despite a growing teacher shortage in our state, TUSD has hired more than fifty teachers to join our teaching staffs.  We are excited to welcome these talented educators to our community.  Ten new administrators will also be joining the district this fall along with many other administrators in the district changing positions.  I want to especially welcome new principals: Michael Bunch (Kelly ES), Erin Quintana (Villalovoz ES), Zack Boswell (West HS), Miguel Romo (Williams MS), Sam Strube (Adult and Career and Technical Education) and Amy Thompson (Stein HS).
As the new school year begins, please do not hesitate to reach out to your school administrator should you have any questions or concerns.  Each of us here at TUSD is looking forward to a wonderful school year.  If I can be of any help to you, please contact my office.
