Happy May to everyone. This has gone by faster than any year since I have been working in education. I have truly appreciated the support of our West High Families this year. We have a new parent group that is meeting the 2nd Thursday of every month, and I have really enjoyed their input and support.
Very early in my life my parents taught me to be thankful. I probably drive my own kids crazy trying to teach them to be thankful. On their birthday, when they are opening presents, I always remind them to say thank you. When I worked a summer school at Williams Middle School a number of years back I was always impressed with the young students who said thank you as they came through the food line.
I am thankful that we have had such a great year. I am thankful that we have had a safe year. I am thankful for the entire West High community. I am thankful that you send your students to us here at West. I am thankful for the students. I am thankful for the staff and their hard work. I am thankful for the new relationships I have made with students and families. I am thankful for the student stories I have heard. I am thankful for the wonderful campus we have. I am thankful for the rain this year. I am thankful for the activities I have been able to attend. I am thankful for the combined with Kimball, Every 15 minutes that we held. I am thankful for the combined with Tracy, prom that we held. I am thankful that our kids have represented West High with pride. I am thankful for the chance I have to come to West High every day and to interact with your students. I am thankful for the opportunities I have had since coming to West High.
Have a great rest of the year.
