IMPORTANT SAFETY MESSAGE: Tracy Unified School District is aware of and is monitoring recent social media posts and rumors warning that clowns will show up at schools threatening to do harm.  Officer Kami Ysit of Tracy Police Department has confirmed that there have been no reported threats to the Tracy area at this time, however she encourages anyone to report all suspicious people or circumstances to the Tracy Police Department.
While no threats have been received in the Tracy area, we are working with local law enforcement and continue to monitor activity closely. These types of behaviors and claims are disruptive to a school’s learning environment and the broader community. We encourage parents to speak with their students about the risks and consequences for any potential involvement in these social media posts.
We want to remind our families that threats are not jokes. Threats are considered a felony, a crime punishable by imprisonment. In addition to criminal punishment, students who make false threats will be referred for expulsion from school. Also, school days lost due to closures from school threats may be required to be added to the end of the school year.
In the event of any suspicious activity, in or around a school site, please contact the Tracy Police Department at (209) 831-6550. The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. Thank you for helping us keep our schools and our community safe.

  • THANK YOU TO OUR PTO! They were very busy last year - here are a few great things they did last year:
    • Raised $34,332.55
      • From the funds raised the teacher earned $16,169.85 from fundraisers like the Fireworks booth, Fall Festival, and Holiday Shoppe
      • Art Docents received $1,315.72
    • Donated the sound system for the MPR
    • From box tops donations we were able to repair instruments for our Music Department
    • Currently, PTO is working on fixing our Marquee

  • Music Department - Choir practice every Wednesday 3-3:30PM in Room 42
  • Staff Parking Lot
    • New signs have been posted in our staff parking lot. The staff parking lot is ONLY for staff and requires a permit to park in this area. Any vehicle parked in this area without a permit will be cited or towed by city officials. To ensure safety, our parking lot is monitored by the Tracy Police Department.
  • Parents please DO NOT use the parking lot as a drop off or pick up area! It is not safe for the children.
  • Attendance is IMPORTANT!
    • Teachers cannot teach students who are not in school. There is strong evidence that shows regular attendance can result in significant improvements in test scores.
    • Each month, our school goal is 98% attendance.
  • Closed Campus
    • All visitors must sign in at the office and wear a visitor's sticker.  We are a closed campus for the safety of all our students.

  • Dear George Kelly Families,
With Halloween approaching and many planning for costumes, I wanted to remind everyone of George Kelly's costume guidelines so we are able to have a positive experience during school festivities. There is one additional guideline that is being put into place this year, due to recent events. For this year, clown costumes will not be allowed on our campus in order to avoid the unnecessary frightening of students.
    Costume Guidelines for School:
      *   No weapons of any kind. (For example, swords, light sabers, axes, guns, blasters, etc.)
      *   Masks may be worn during the parade only and will need to be removed for the remainder of the day.
      *   Costumes may not be vulgar, offensive, or racist.
      *   No clown costumes may be worn to campus.
George Kelly appreciates your support to help our kids have a safe and fun Halloween.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly.
    Thank you,
    Dr. Jeanine Wilson
