Announcements and Events

Dear Students and Families,
October was a fun filled month that flew by!  It is hard to believe we are already in November.  Thank you for attending parent teacher conferences last week.  It was nice to see so many families on campus collaborating with teachers and working together for our students.   The Halloween Parade and Family Movie Night were also a big success. Thank you for coming out and celebrating with us at Jacobson.
Student attendance is one of the most important elements of a student's success at school.  The District has a goal of 98% attendance for all schools in Tracy.  Our attendance percentage is currently 95.6 %.  Please help us meet our goal by ensuring that students are at school everyday and on time.    School success goes hand in hand with good attendance!
All of the staff at Jacobson would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving Break.  We hope you have time to relax and enjoy time with the ones you love.

Universal Breakfast Program

Jacobson has a universal breakfast program where every child has the opportunity for a free breakfast. Breakfast starts at 7:55 a.m. for kindergartners and 8:05 a.m. for grades 1-5. There is no cost for this breakfast
Student Lunch Dropoff
If you are dropping off lunch for a student, we ask that all lunches are in the office by 11:15 a.m. regardless of the grade level. We have a pen/post-it for you to mark your Childs lunch. We tell all the students that if you do not have a lunch, please check the office on your way to the cafeteria. We do not call the classrooms to let them know there is a lunch in the office.
Arrival/Dismissal Car Line
At dismissal, all students will proceed through the front gates to the car line up. All bus students will report to the side of the school (Camilia Drive) where the bus pick-up is. Students are not allowed to be picked up on the side of the school.
  • We are asking parents of 3:00 p.m. students to please wait until 2:50 p.m. to enter the car pick-up line. This gives the parents of 2:30 dismissal time to pick up their students.
  • We are asking kindergarten PM parents to please wait until 3:10 p.m. before getting in the car pick-up line, so that our 3:00 pm students can be picked up.

If cars are in line before their time and during dismissal, it causes a major back up.

Dear Parents and Jacobson Community,
It is truly is a pleasure being able to work with children and teachers every day. Being a parent myself,  I approach each child as if they are my own and work alongside our teachers and yourselves to ensure our children are safe, successful and good citizens.  I am a firm believer that the success of our children depends heavily on the positive relationship between home and school. When students see us working together it gives them since of belonging and the security to try their best.  To ensure our students are successful, communication is key from both sides.  Please be sure to get to know your child’s teacher and give them all possible ways of communicating with you.  Our children’s success depends on it.  I encourage all parents to get involved with our Jacobson Staff Parent Association.  This is just another way for the school and community to partner.
We are here to assist in any manner possible.  Please feel free to stop by, say hello and provide your input.  We believe that a successful school experience can only result from a cooperative effort between you, your child, the Tracy community, and our school.  We need your support and pledge you ours.  We look forward to an exciting and successful school year.
