SARC

All public schools are required to prepare and distribute a SARC (School Accountability Report Card). The purpose of the report card is to provide parents and the community with important information about each public school. A SARC can be an effective way for a school to report on its progress in achieving goals. The public may also use a SARC to evaluate and compare schools on a variety of indicators.  SARCs are prepared with information from the previous school year.  The 2013-14 SARCs can be obtained from the school website and district website at https://www.tracy.k12.ca.us/AboutTUSD/SitePages/SARC.aspx.   Paper copies will be made available, upon request.

Morning Drop Off

Kindergarteners will be dropped off at the kindergarten gate located on Parker Avenue. Grades 1-5 should be dropped off at the front door or in the car lane no earlier than 8 a.m.

 PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Central Parents,

Happy May! I am not sure how the year flew by so quickly but it sure did! May is a month full of activities at Central School. I hope you will be able to join us for some of them.
The week of May 4 through May 9 is Teacher and Teaching Staff Appreciation week. The teachers and support staff here work incredibly hard for our students. Central teachers are highly trained, enthusiastic and spend many, many hours preparing for their classes. Our office staff, custodian, paraprofessionals, supervision aides, librarian, and food service staff are kind, competent and truly do want to be here with your children. This first week of May is a time for all of us to stop and thank the people trying so hard to help our students get a quality education and grow into good, caring adults.
May 20th is Family Picnic. This is a fun day that has become quite a tradition for us here at Central. Come bring a lunch and a blanket (or folding chairs) during your child’s lunchtime. We will all be out on the grassy fields enjoying a beautiful day and our picnic lunches together!
As a last note before we all go relax during summer I must mention summer reading. Every child will be given another book to add to their library. It is my hope that your child will have a set 20 to 30 minutes every day to read. This is vital to keep them growing in their reading, vocabulary, sentence structure and fluency. It also broadens their minds and keeps them on their way to being life-long learners and readers.
Have a wonderful summer,
Sincerely,
Nancy Morgan Link

¡Feliz mayo!
