School Readiness Program

Kindergarten Bridge Program

The FREE Kindergarten Bridge Program will:

  • Provide an opportunity for children who have not attended preschool to gain experience in a kindergarten classroom;

  • Help children and families understand and begin to meet the academic expectations of a kindergarten student;

  • Help parents gain ideas and knowledge to prepare their children academically and socially for kindergarten;

  • Encourage children and families to become a part of the school community; and

  • Allow teaching professionals to observe children for signs of possible difficulties.

Countdown to Kindergarten Program

During Countdown to Kindergarten PARENTS will learn:

  • How to register a child for kindergarten

  • About Tracy Unified schools and programs

  • What kindergarten readiness skills are

  • Helpful hints and ideas to use in the next few months to help prepare your child for kindergarten

During Countdown to Kindergarten CHILDREN will:

  • Spend time in a kindergarten classroom with a kindergarten teacher

  • Meet some future classmates
