GATE Assessment Dates

     We will be administering assessments on the following days.  Students are allowed to be assessed once a year.

     South/West Park School

    500 W. Mt. Diablo Ave., Tracy, Ca

 

    Saturday, January 21, 2012-Testing for grades 2nd-7th.  Applications for this assessment are due to your students teacher by Dec. 2

    Saturday, March 24, 2012-Testing for grades 1st-7th.  Applications for this assessment are due to your students teacher by Feb. 3 

      

                **Please note that March 24 will be the only testing date for 1st grade students**

            

GATE Parent Advisory Meetings

7th Annual Spelling Bee

      The 7th annual Spelling Bee was held at South West Park on Oct. 6.  Congratulations to our GATE students Kushal Meka, grade 4, who placed 1st and Nathaniel Tran, grade 5, who placed 2nd.

       

The Moon Rocks are coming!

     NASA moon rock and meteorite samples will be on display October 18th and 21st at Williams Middle School in room 6 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

 

Math Olympiad Tournaments

    This national program, new to San Joaquin County this year, promotes excellence in math while raising student test scores and increasing student self-esteem.  The math problems are written to sharpen problem-solving skills and to hone competitive and cooperative skills.  This is truly an opportunity to showcase our future mathematicians.
